Internet Marketing
I have always been impressed at how people can make a living via internet marketing. I do not think I would ever have the determination to work from home anyway. Combine that apathy with the generalized nature of internet marketing as a business enterprise and that makes it near impossible for me to retain any sort of attention span on the subject long enough to turn a profit. Truth be told I would not know the first thing about internet marketing anyway and would have to resort to some step by step guide on Wikipedia to spoon feed me instructions anyway.
The first thing I would probably have to do would be find something to actually market. This idea for product development prior to the actual internet marketing was always a concern mostly because I have no idea what I could possibly sell. You always see those infomercials for internet marketing saying how you can just buy stock in some warehouse full of stuff to then sell on the internet without actually dealing with product. That sounds like a great way to participate in internet marketing but personally I would want direct control over all of my product and not have to rely on some metaphysical retailer that may or may not be filled with items for my resale.
The mother of my girlfriend actually makes a decent living with internet marketing by buying all sorts of items at garage sales then reselling them. Her internet marketing strategy involves simply purchasing items on the cheap then reselling them on online auction sites. It seems that her business is less marketing and more simple resale commerce though. But in that profession all the online marketing is already done by the auction site anyway.
